If your skin and hair are rough and lifeless, your water may be the culprit. Chlorine added to tap water is drying and minerals in hard water can cause build up resulting in roughness and dulling. Installing a filter that also softens water can make a big difference in the effectiveness of your beauty products and routine.

I think there is this stuff you can add also that is a water softener. You can go to any hardware store and ask them for a hard water softener filter and they will tell you.
is it exspensive? does it need to be refilled often
I don't exactley all the details I just know it exists. The people in the hardware would know then you could read the box even Wal Mart may have it.
Any filter installed will need to be replaced often. To replace your filter less often it only takes a minute to write the water board in your city. Requesting that they use less floride and chlorine in your drinking water will make your hair and skin thank you. Also any food or drink you make with water will taste better and improve your looks from the inside out. P.S. green girls can pat their backs for lessening earth hurting caustic chemicals. (chlorine)
Hmmm.... we have a filter on our shower head and it seems to work pretty good :D
