Eyes Beauty Tip

Beat those brow blahs

Beat those brow blahsAs any makeup artist can attest, never underestimate the power of the perfectly arched brow. A quick trick to tame unruly brows and accentuate your arch is to use your favorite mascara in a shade darker than your natural hair color. For a naturally defined look, wipe excess product off the mascara wand with a tissue and using light feathery strokes, fill in brows and tame stray hairs at the same time.

Thats what I do ALL the time, haha.

martejen replied: Wed, 2008-03-12 16:18

you do what all the time?

bronmorgan wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 14:22

I have a problem with this one if you plan on using that mascara on your eyelashes again after wiping it with tissue! Tissue leaves little fibers on the wand. I suppose you could wash it off, but then you'd better be sure the wand is dried off before putting it back in the container, or I suppose you could buy a separate mascara just for your eyebrows. I always used the clear mascara for mine.

hehe whenever the word tissue pops into a beauty tip...keep in mind its (to me at least) tissue "paper" they're referring to. smiles C: good luck!

You can find a brow brush at the store that has an eyelash brush on the end of it, simply give it a little dip in the mascara and use it. I just tried it and it totally works. This is a good tip.

I love those brushes! I use hairspray or something though...just not a lot because on my left brow I have a cow lick...lol

They have products specifially for eyebrows. I like Ardell brow sculpting gel. Its like mascara but a thinner consistency. It keeps my eyebrows looking perfect all day. This stuff is awesome for girls with blonde brows like me!!

supermom20 wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 16:23

BLONDE HAIR DOES NOT LOOK RITE WITH BLACK EYEBROWS! LOL

pharmtech1216 replied: Thu, 2008-03-06 01:01

I know but I did like the style I would change the color to a reddish brown with possibly some blonde highlights and give more arch to my eyebrows.

michatti89 replied: Fri, 2008-03-07 13:15

Its a light brown...not black

clarissa16 replied: Mon, 2008-03-10 13:38

They have mascara in browns too, hello they said a shade darker than your natural hair color.

marineangel wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 18:13

They stated one shade darker than your hair so from blond to black is more than one shade darker. You can also use a tube of mascara that is almost out that way you dont get to much. It works great.

mimsmims7 wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 18:35

i would never put mascara on my brows, that's why they make products for lashes! mascara isn't made to match haircolor, it would be unnatural for most & might make them TOO stiff

krisri replied: Sat, 2008-03-08 17:56

hmm You dnt know many mascara brands do U lol, & like the other chick said use 1 that is pretty well empty n if U apply it correctly it will NOT be hard n crusty lol, & thier is a woide variety of colours so if u cant find somthing that looks natural on u than u not lookin hard enough, (theirs somthing 4 every 1 )

kracka _jack_ wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 20:30

so they have clear mascara no days i wonder if that wold work better ..cuz its doesnt get hard and gunky like reular mascara

differentsortof... wrote: Wed, 2008-03-05 22:14

forever i have used an old toothbrush it works pretty well, everyone thinks im crazy but, try it :D

ch_lovin... wrote: Thu, 2008-03-06 19:20

I like to use powder because it looks more natural.

krisri wrote: Sat, 2008-03-08 17:51

stephanie_13 replied: Sun, 2008-03-16 18:40

candaceb wrote: Sat, 2008-03-15 08:02

My eyebrows are alright but on one side I find that I always have a few strays that like to stick up. Not in the middle of the brow but right at the start of the brow. I dont want to pluck them because then I will have a little empty spot. Besides mascara what could I use to tame them?

michatti89 replied: Wed, 2008-03-26 13:32

try brow gel or use trimmer. You dont have to pluck them just shorten them but be careful and do a little at a time cause as they say you can always take away, but you cant put anything back. lol

jobin wrote: Thu, 2008-03-20 19:20

There is a product by Anastasia that is fantastic! It comes with a mascara type of gel and matches your hair color. You can buy it at Sephora.

honey1032 wrote: Wed, 2008-04-02 16:35

Wouldn't it smudge? I tried it once, and it looked totally unnatural and weird.
