Eyes Beauty Tip

Brows

BrowsTo achieve the latest runway look of well-groomed and defined brows, we recommend that you see an esthetician to professionally shape and style your brows. You can then maintain the look at home with tweezing and trimming.

If your brows are particularly unruly, a little hair gel (or even clear lip gloss in a pinch) can help smooth them into submission.

Don't forget ladies to use a little brow pencil, one shade lighter than your hair, to fill in any gaps in your brows. Then you a brow brush to comb through and make certain that it doesn't look artificial! And THEN use the brow gel.

Actually a matte eye shadow or brow shadow to match your brows looks way more natural.

HERES ANOTHER HELPFUL TIP SPRAY AN OLD TOOTH BRUSH WITH HAIR SPRAY AND THEN BRUSH YOUR BROWS

verasgisela... replied: Sat, 2007-04-21 15:45

some people break out if they apply hair spray to their skin..... applying hair spray to your brows, bad idea.

gel? ehh. i dont like hair gel.

goodygoodygumdrops wrote: Sun, 2007-05-13 13:21

These are all really good tips. I have done the moisturiser one before and it does work fairly well. Also if you just get your brows a little damp before you pluck it doesn't really hurt. Well at least for me it doesn't.

I think a pinch of lip gloss can do better that gel coz it stays then gel

faheyluv replied: Sun, 2007-06-10 19:37

This is information that would have helped me more at home rather than go see a professional. I would like to know how to do it myself!

katt_meow13 wrote: Sat, 2007-09-08 23:37

Really many people who do tweeze don't really have to. Try just using gel or whatever (since different people prefer different things) first, even the most unruly brows sometimes just need a little coaxing. Especially since, if you eyebrows are stubborn, the hair might not grow back at all. Kinda suck when you mess up then, huh?

cute_italian replied: Sat, 2007-11-24 11:35

i need some help!!!!
yes it does suck cause they dont seem to be growing back what should i do? they grow where i dont want them but they dont grow in the place it needs to be, i try feeling my eyebrows in with a eye pencil but its way to dark & it looks fake. do you or anyone have any suggestions?

ch_lovin... replied: Wed, 2007-11-28 18:12

Get an eyeshadow or brow powder to match your brow color and apply the powder with a slim eye shadow brush and apply in the direction that the brows grow. It looks natural I actually had to do this the other day because I slipped!

bchs wrote: Sat, 2007-12-08 19:05

True. Many a times I have accidently pulled where I didn't want to and I had to fill in. The eyeshawdow works better than a pencil. So ya. Also, a bit of lotion before you pull reduces on redness and then put a warm washcloth after. To smooth them..I use gel or hairspray but always wash them before you sleep because my friend didn't and got blemishes on her eyebrows. It was rather bad.
