Dear Alicia1,
I'm happy for you, getting back into the workforce is very challenging and I admire you for that. No money, no problem. Just go to the mall and see a cosmetician at any counter. Do all the counters. Ask if she has samples you could try. You can say you have sensitive skin, eyes, etc. and of course it’s better to try things before purchasing them. It works for me. You can try concealors, mascaras, lipsticks, perfume. I hope this helps. Good luck in your job search.

It is pretty hard without money. Lemon juice may help blackheads or large pores. Shortening is a good moisturizer. Perhaps you can get an inexpensive scrub to exfoliate. Exfoliation is a great help.Vitamin E oil (break open a capsule) for swelling under eyes. After any exfoliation make sure you use a moisturizer which you can get cheap as shortening may not be your first choice. Sometimes I use a lighter foundation for a concealer under my eyes.

I like this suggestion. I have used it many times, however when out of moisturiser try fresh cucumber juice. A drop or two mix with a lighter fondation . it does work!

A basic powder can go a long way to the appearance of smooth skin.

I have slightly dark spots on my skin and I have noticed as a busy mom that if I use a quick baby powder in the bathroom it works to even out the skin for a short time.

Baah! I'm so happy I found this place, I have no clue about make up or anything like that, lol. Heellpp!! I leave on vacation in two days and I really wanna look my best! :S

Another cheap and VERY good moisturizer is Vaseline. It's a bit greasy but works great as a night cream (provided you don't have acne prone skin). You'll wake up to super soft skin.

kah_ru replied: Thu, 2007-07-05 09:58

I've heard of Vaseline, but I've never used it. Has it worked well on you?

yes vaseline does work real well

i have crazy bags under my eyes and whats even worse is that they are dark and look like a flippen storm. is there a way i can get rid of these or cover them? i am totally new at this. HELP!!!!

OK, y'all, this sounds gross but I have heard that preparation H, yes the hemmorhoid medicine works to temporarily make the puffiness go away. The idea of getting the free samples is a great idea. Also, any type of lotion that is without scent is good for the skin, like use some lubriderm or the like for moisturizer. the baby powder thing sounds good for dark circles. Better is that you may have allergies causing the darkness and may go away with allergy meds. A little sun usually evens things out quite nicely too. Good luck on the job hunt. It is a young person's world sometimes in the workplace, for women anyway.

i pretend to b a confident person but everyday i deal with caking on makeup to cover my ugly freckles and uneven skin tone ive done this 4 7 years and ive already started getting wrinkles under my eyes and im only 20!! do u think this is from using eyeliner and mascara everyday?? im far too embarrased to not wear makeup is there any way of getting a clear complexion and not having to put a mask on every day??

candycane85 wrote: Tue, 2009-03-03 14:25

I was just wondering what kind of moisturizer would be best in this case.
Thank You
