Eyes Beauty Tip

Plumping up thin lashes

Plumping up thin lashesIf you have thin, delicate lashes, mascara can look clumpy and unnatural if applied incorrectly.

Look for a product with a thinner, shorter-bristled wand or comb instead of a thick brush. Apply sparingly in one or two coats to get a fuller, more natural look.

Also, be sure to replace your product often especially when it thickens and becomes more difficult to apply.

What do you all think? I have these thin sparse non-dark lashes, though am brunette. I used Loreal Lash Out today which fits this bill w/ the "Teddy Bear" brush, & agree, it did apply well, lengthen/separate after eyelash curler. I was all for the more lush brushes, but now will reconsider. Would like a more dramatic formula for more volume...-SC, Oceanside, CA

I have found that LashFusion ($40) works wonderfully for plumpling, lengthening..... it doesn't flake off if you rub your eye (bonus for allergy sufferers), they say it's waterproof, but I haven't tried, but I have rubbed my eyes and it didn't come off. One coat and I had long, thick lashes. You do have to be careful putting it on or you will get clumps and stuff, so you need a practice run. Comes off easy with a baby wipe (I don't have a baby!) Also, Clinique ($38) is a good one., Jenn, NH

i don't have thin eyelashes i was lucky and got thick and curled ones, i can apply any mascara , but after i use an eyelash comb it seperates every little eyelash making an illusion that i have a fuller eye.

I have bleach blonde lashes and they are thin and don't curl at all. What is a good brand of mascara to use.

ag10v replied: Tue, 2007-09-11 11:34

i recently bought this mascara called Diorshow and i got it in waterproof since my lashes are not necessarily thin but they have no curl whatsoever. I have come to find that waterproof will hold the curl and the best eye curler out there is by Shu Umera. I guarantee that these 2 products are the best I have found and you can them off Sephora. com

when my mascara start to get lumpy or dries up. i put my mascara in a cup of hot water for a few minutes to make it soft again and it applies like new. make sure you close the mascara tight. you will get a longer usage. i've been doing this for a couple of years. save on buying mascara alot.

after like a month of using my mascara i throw it out bacteria builds up on the wand , and like who wants bacteria in their eye!If you ever had like an eyelash hurt thats bacteria that was left on the root of your eyelash.

I have thin lashes and I hate the clumpy look. It took me forever to find the perfect mascara! It is Volume exact by cover girl.

lindajones1958 wrote: Sun, 2007-10-07 07:13

I probabably was born with thin lashes.
I plump mine up by putting one coat of mascara dust of powder then another coat of mascara. Does not clump, looks so natural!

Cool

pinkdiamond95 wrote: Thu, 2007-10-25 12:44

This is a really good tip. I use Volume maxxx from rimmel. It has a special brush which separates each lash, making them look bigger. Telescopic from maxfactor is good. But on the advert with Penelope Cruz, she was wearing false eyelashes, so I wouldn't expect to look like her any time soon! Lol :)

azraz wrote: Sat, 2007-10-27 01:12

It took me years to find mascara. I just tought it was my lashes but I finnaly found it its Telescopic by Loreal. I love it!!!

bwoodsie wrote: Sun, 2007-10-28 22:31

elizabeth arden double density mascara is the best. 24$ for a little pricy, but my far the best mascara on the market

ch_lovin... wrote: Tue, 2007-10-30 17:43

I tried the new Cover Girl mascara called Lash Blast. I love Volume exact but I was curious. I don't like Last Blast. It's the orange tube and the tube is bigger than normal tubes. I don't like it because it takes some getting use to because of the size and it clumps your lases even though it has the special brush. I'm sticking with my Volume exact!

lucky6479 wrote: Tue, 2008-01-01 05:18

My lashes are very thin, This hasn't been a problem while applying mascura

x0darbydoo0x wrote: Tue, 2008-01-01 15:43

or you can start at the base of ure eyelashes and sort-of wiggle it around.. makes them fuller ;]

tatiana052905 wrote: Wed, 2008-01-02 14:04

Full n Soft by Maybelline (?) is my fav. It plumps up the lashes, but leaves them soft, doesn't flake too bad.

melly0908 wrote: Sun, 2008-01-13 21:13

My eyelashes are very thick but I find when I try to curl them they just wont move the way I want. any tips?

ch_lovin... replied: Fri, 2008-01-18 16:53

Do you curl them before you apply mascara?
