Eyes Beauty Tip

Speed up your morning makeup routine!

Speed up your morning makeup routine! We're all looking for ways to save time and effort in the morning. So when you can eliminate a step in your makeup routine and still look great, it's always a bonus!

When applying mascara, place the brush as close to the base of your lashes as possible and wiggle the wand slightly to deposit extra product.

The extra mascara will give you the look of eyeliner while saving you the time and effort needed to apply it separately.

I like my eyeliner too much. I think I rather wast one minute of my time to put it on. I just dont see how mascara would give the same effect

So I'm going to try this.....thanks

This works especially well if you use a mascara wand that has very short bristles or none at all. Of course, if you use dramatic liner, it will not replace it, but it will give the look if you usually use very light liner, also is very close to the eyelid, so it looks pretty cool if you can do it without poking your eye.

texas_chilipepper wrote: Mon, 2007-08-13 16:35

i think thats a retarded tip it didn't work at all if u wanted to save time it would be easier to just skip the mascara

verve wrote: Mon, 2007-08-13 16:58

I've heard of this technique before, but I've never seen it described as an alternative to eyeliner. I always get it in my eyes when I try this, and worry about the bacteria I'm getting on my wand. I'd rather take the extra few seconds to use real eyeliner, or skip it.

kathymccown wrote: Wed, 2007-08-15 11:32

I really like my eyeliner, so for those who like it light, it is ok, but I am also afraid of poking my eye. I like to use the brushless mascara "brush" and put it close to my eyelids, and it does make it look better, but i love my eyeliner. I could just do with eyeliner and mascara, but guess for those who wear it light.....

sherry_rch1 wrote: Wed, 2007-08-15 18:07

I have been doing this since I got this tip. It gives me a much softer look because I use the eyeliner just to fill in where the mascara doesn't hit and my line is not so dark and harsh. I love it but I have to be careful since I wear contacts. I love getting the makeover tips!!Thank you so much.

jubilee_uncad wrote: Wed, 2007-08-15 20:23

agree with this tip, applying extra mascara at the base will give an eyeliner effect make sure you apply it on the base of eyelashes - for easier application just open up your eyes with the help of your hand so you can reach the base lash :-)

ms_mimi wrote: Sat, 2007-08-18 10:17

wouldn't it just look clumpy? i don't get it

testingthis wrote: Sun, 2007-08-26 22:41

I don't see what the point is of this, just take 3 extra minutes to put eyeliner on. Is that taking up too much time? C'mon! Were all saying we wanna be beautiful now were complaining how much time it takes.Relax!

leah10 wrote: Sat, 2007-09-29 09:33

Wow! i never thoguht of that before but it would tecnecally only work for the top lash what about that bottem one.?

ki_actfreak wrote: Tue, 2007-10-09 17:07

ew so like you're going to have all this extra gunky mascara on it? confused, anyone? me too!

ch_lovin... replied: Fri, 2007-10-19 14:54

I think this just is for the bottom lashes.. You apple it regularly on the top and then start at the base of your bottom lases as close as you can get to the base and wiggle the mascara wand side to side touching the edge of your eye where you usually put your eyeliner and move to end of your lashes it pretty easy.

pinkdiamond95 wrote: Sun, 2007-10-21 06:00

This can't work! It can't give you the same effect on mascara as it does on eyeliner! For a start its on your top lashes!

pinkdiamond95 wrote: Mon, 2007-10-22 14:20

I take half of it back! It doesn't give you the same effect as eyeliner. But it volumises your lashes. Worth a try!

smiley_face wrote: Wed, 2007-10-24 18:47

i either only apply eyeliner and mascara, or if i feel real preaty ill just do mascara...im trying to start with foundation, but for now, my makeup doesnt take toolong to start with
