Fall Fringe Styles For Your Face Shape

Fall Fringe Styles For Your Face Shape
Mandy Moore's "curtain" bangs soften her square face shape.
From the runway to the red carpet, bangs have made a major comeback this fall. Check out our new All About Bangs Look Book to try on the latest celebrity styles, and keep these pro tips in mind when searching for a new fringe style.

Face Shape:
Square
Best Bang Styles: Consider a "curtain" bang, which is a long bang style that can be center parted so it swoops down each side of your face. This shape can soften a large forehead and also draw attention away from a prominent jaw line. Heavy side swept bangs will also look beautiful on you and help add softness to a very defined facial structure.
Try these styles: Mandy Moore, Kim Cattrall, Anne Hathaway

Face Shape:
Round
Best Bang Styles: Gently layered or angular bangs work wonders to minimize the fullness of a round face, not to mention they highlight a great pair of eyes. Avoid a too-severe blunt cut bang style, which can add more width to your face.
Try these styles: Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Ricci

Face Shape:
Oval
Best Bang Styles: In general, oval faces are the most versatile, especially when it comes to bangs. Because of the even proportions of the length and width of your face, you can go with any fringe style from blunt to wispy, so it's more of an aesthetic choice. Blunt transmits a confident, bold look, while wispy lends a girly, more romantic quality.
Try these styles: Ashley Tisdale, Jesssica Alba, Kelly Rowland

Face Shape:
Heart
Best Bang Styles: Reigning in the wideness of cheeks on a heart-shaped face can easily be achieved with long, layered or chipped bangs. Our favorite technique is to unevenly part these feathered bangs, so they are lightly scattered across your forehead.
Try these styles: Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria

I have a long face and a long nose- what kind of bangs would look good on me?

capri44 replied: Sun, 2008-10-26 20:18

I have the same long face, long nose. I have "oblong" facial structure along with a high forehead. I consider myself ugly and always have. Never have been able to get a stylist to suit me and now am experiencing hair loss due to perms and color. My hair is short due to a bad haircut as well. To answer your ?; long over the brows and weepy bangs are best.
