Face Beauty Tip

Smart hair removal

Smart hair removalWhen grooming facial hair, waxing is always a popular choice since it's quick and relatively easy to do. However, keep in mind that the skin around the eyes and upper lip are more delicate than in other areas; over time, regular waxing may result in stretched, sagging skin.

As an alternative, you may want to try threading or tweezing (which are both much gentler on the skin) to maintain your look.

I DO NOT THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA!!!!!!It does not make your skin sag to wax your eyebrows and you can ask any person that does that professionaly!!!! Threading does!!! Tweezing also makes your face really red and takes to long so if you want to just get it over with just wax!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS ON YOUR OWN!!!!!

i can not speak on behalf of waxing or threading as i have never had either done, but i do tweeze my eyebrows. It is not time consuming if one keeps up with it. And I have only once experienced redness from tweezing, because i accidentally grabbed my skin and not just the hair.

if you are tweezing, just use a magnified, lighted mirror preferably if you are not used to plucking.

well i don't get my eyebrows waxed, i just tweeze every now and then to keep my brows looking clean and tamed. One way u can keep it from being red and painful is by putting some ice cubes in a paper towel and holding it up against your eyebrows. I'll numb them and they'll just turn out better.

ummm... no your wrong!!! im a profeessional in hair removel care. waxing does, strech skin over time, do you even know what threading is?! no i dont think you do... its a peice of thread, they just pull across you eyebrow...ect and it removes hair. i think you should just stick to hsaving... everywhere

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-11-13 16:19

Wouldn't plucking and threading tend to sag skin over time as well? You don't need to be rude either not everyone is in the same profession as you either.

when removing hair from your upper lip, for the first time, does it grow back quicker????

lushlikeyou replied: Thu, 2007-05-10 17:13

no, but it will seem it does because it all grows back at the same time.

cinmichelle wrote: Fri, 2007-05-18 03:22

threading is totally the way to go !!! i do prefer to tweeze my brows though.

cabunalda wrote: Fri, 2007-06-29 00:25

If you want to wax at home what's the best stuff to use that actually works?

racingchic17... replied: Thu, 2007-12-13 20:04

i think that sally hansen is the best

soly poly wrote: Sat, 2007-07-07 08:01

I would say that waxing, threading and tweezing are all good as I do wax at home because I have a moustache and one eyebrow(Not really but you know what I mean!) I use single wax strips but the warning is NEVER SHAVE as it cuts the hair and grows back all stubbly like men.

meenuwalia wrote: Thu, 2007-07-12 04:07

for face hairs and eyebrow hair can do the threading because if we use wax for face after a while the hair can come thicker like men, it happened with me

chiquella_01 wrote: Fri, 2007-07-13 17:46

HOW DOES THREADING WORK?

prettynpinkk replied: Mon, 2007-07-30 17:37

do all salons have threading?

avr_pretty_woman wrote: Mon, 2007-09-03 11:10

I think d waxing is good but to those with sensitive skin i dont think u should wax expecially your face cuz u can get fine little pimples on your face. it happened to many of my friends

sideparted17 wrote: Mon, 2007-09-03 12:51

how do you thread????

britbratchic wrote: Tue, 2007-10-16 23:31

yeah i dont think ive ever heard of threading before...

mdandersen wrote: Mon, 2007-10-22 14:38

I wax my eyebrows all the time and it works better than tweezing. But waxing the top lip is really painful so I tried the Nair Facial Hair remover and it really works.

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-11-13 16:21

I tried the Nair stuff on my legs and some other stuff and it all made me have a rash. Is there something else. I even used the sensitive formula.

crazy_brunette wrote: Sat, 2007-10-27 15:58

I tweeze my eyebrows and i find it doesnt hurt as much if u hold a warm - hot face cloth over your eyebrows before you start cauz this opens up your hair folicles and dont frown while you do it.Try to keep a relaxed face.

shayfrey14904 wrote: Thu, 2007-11-08 19:40

tweezing is more painful...id rather get it done and over with so i just wax.

brendita10 wrote: Sun, 2007-11-11 15:39

TWEEZING FACIAL HAIR MAKES THAT THE HAIR IN THIS AREA GROWS QUIKER AND IN MORE QUANTITY. FOR THIS I USUALLY USE A GENTLE FACIAL HAIR REMOVAL CREAM.

born_confused90 wrote: Tue, 2008-01-22 17:41

Threading is basically one piece of thread that you put around your hand and you use a motion similar to what scissors do, and the thread just pulls the hair out.

stylishmizj wrote: Mon, 2008-01-28 18:46

I think that waxing over long perionds of time eventually do lead to sagging
