Hair Beauty Tip

Instant hairstyle change

Instant hairstyle changeFor an instant style change, try changing the part in your hair occasionally.

A deep side part can give you a more glamorous, sophisticated look for that special occasion.

Flipping your hair part to the opposite side can give you added volume in front.

A center part and a bit of work with a flat iron can create a retro, sleek, sixties look.

Try something new and have everyone thinking you visit the salon every day!

dont use an iron its bad for your hair because it makes i feel like straw

briannasbrianna wrote: Thu, 2007-02-22 15:56

mine dont feel like straw

chocoholic135 wrote: Thu, 2008-01-03 22:32

i think she meant an iron you use for ironing your clothes

candice123 wrote: Sat, 2007-02-24 19:06

on certain types of hair it does but not on everytype of hair. I have been using a flat iron for 3 years and my hair is silky smooth. i agree with briannasbrianna

dancingrox_123 wrote: Mon, 2007-04-16 18:53

i always flaten my hair and it is smooth

imedemaa wrote: Mon, 2007-07-23 04:56

it also depends on the kind of flat iron it should be a good quality one like ceramic it is gentle on your hair and gives a sleek look

britbratchic wrote: Tue, 2007-10-16 23:07

it really helps if you use products like conditioner and heat protection stuff. any product will protect the hair a little bit. a good quality iron makes a huge difference, ceramic is best i think. especially if you have natuarlly dry hair or if you wash it everyday. if you do, stop! wash it every other day and put it up in a ponytail on the second day or youll strip it of all the natural oils. seriously, DONT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY ITS BAD FOR IT!

cutie_angel_pop wrote: Sun, 2007-11-11 20:34

that's what I never got. your told to shower and bathe every day but your not to wash your hair every day

herbie_girl wrote: Sat, 2008-10-04 05:59

its becuase of the chemicals in shampoo strip your hair of its natural oils which is what keep it healthy whereas when you was everyday the oils and sweat in your skin are washed off to prevent your pores clogging up (and you smelling really bad)

mellxbellex3 wrote: Fri, 2007-11-09 15:18

metal straighteners only make ur hair feel like tht, not ceramic ones. I straighten my hair everyday and its smooth and most importantly sraight

beautifulbaby731803 wrote: Thu, 2007-12-13 13:40

i highly disagree with that my hair is a frizz ball when i blow dry it but then when i straighten it it feels nice and smooth.

ranona wrote: Fri, 2007-02-16 00:44

My hair is so curly and it's never comes straight how could you make it straght without using the iron?

katt_moo wrote: Sun, 2007-02-25 14:18

then you obvisouly shouldnt do that style. duh.

kels0shizzle wrote: Sun, 2007-03-04 10:54

go to a stylist and ask they will tell you

klaupit wrote: Fri, 2007-03-16 00:17

When the hair is wet grab a natura bristle round brush and start blow dry with hot full blast air, it helps if your dryer has a concentrator nozzle, the trick is to use small sections starting at the nape and working your way up and then the sides. TIP: Use a lot of tension and strong hold gel to help hold your hair straight longer!
Good luck!

beautifulbaby731803 wrote: Thu, 2007-12-13 13:43

i feel your pain my hair is curly/wavy i like it straight its a big difference the only thing i can tell you is to go to a place like sallys and get a relaxer either one you can do at home or one that a pro has to do

lovetiffx0 wrote: Sun, 2007-12-16 20:15

i would say put a relaxer in it.
although, it wouldnt be a good idea if you did it yourself. go to a salon.

kerideich wrote: Sat, 2007-12-29 12:15

I have used about 4 realaxers in my hair, and use a ceramic straightener, and if I don't use the flat iron my hair is brittle and straw like, however when I do use it it comes out silky smooth. I would suggest a relaxer meant for little African American girls, they seem to be a lot less harsh on hair.

nancydrew wrote: Fri, 2007-02-16 23:02

They now make special irons that won't damage your hair.

x_cutie_x wrote: Sat, 2007-02-17 07:07

where to is the new irons wa country

nancydrew wrote: Tue, 2007-02-20 21:19

I don't remember what it's called cause I threw the box away (LOL!) but I have one right now, and my wavy hair is now straight and it certainly doesn't feel like straw. Usually if it's not the kind that damages your hair it will mention that it won't damage hair or dry it out.

princess_sheli wrote: Sat, 2007-02-24 08:57

if you use the right hair protection products (like fructus garnier - awesome), straighten your hair at night, it's gorgeous and sleek once you'v slept on it

chikadee912 wrote: Fri, 2008-02-01 20:34

its garnier fructis .. lol

mizzcherrie92 wrote: Sun, 2007-02-25 14:39

the iron dont make my hai feel like straw i love how my hair feels after i iron it

becky_rulz wrote: Sun, 2007-03-04 03:00

i have ghd straighteners and my hair is always silky smooth even though i have really curly hair. it won't damage your hair if you protect it with straightening spray!!!

prinzsanastacia wrote: Wed, 2007-03-07 19:28

Actually it does depend on what texture hair you have as well as what you put on ur hair b4 ironing it. If you never condition ur hair it will lose the moisture...
