The right way to towel dry hair
submitted: Feb 7, 2007tip #182
Does your hair get poufy or frizzy as it dries? Aggressive toweling may be the culprit.
After shampooing, squeeze moisture from your hair with a towel and smooth downward along the hair shaft to keep the cuticle laying flat. Apply some leave-in conditioner and detangle with a wide-toothed comb.
Blow-drying downward along the hair shaft will also help to smooth and seal the hair cuticle resulting in shiny, smooth hair.

This totally helps! My hair used to always frizz, I tried this, and it works, my hair is really smooth now!
My hair still looks like a puff ball when it drys
mine to, but if , next time you get it cut, get it thinned at the back and it really helps! xx
yes and if you get it thinned try and only thin the middly layer. if you thin all of it may be a little frizzy on the upper larer and when you put it up the bottom layer may be frizzy.;]
i got my hair thinned and layered last year and it completely worked wonders with my frizz levels...but now i get split ends on different layers of my hair and i want to cut them but im gna have to cut over 4 inches to get rid of the stupid split ends and i dont think that's gna suit me!
yes it helps
wat u can do is rap yur hair in a towel for half of; the dryeing time then take it out come it flat then apply leave-in conditioner, as yur waiting 4 it to dry just finger through yur hair, when its all dry comb through and give it a great part.(looks great with layers)
I do the exact same thing but try combing it in the shower. I don't need to use leave i conditioner becasue I go to Sally Beauty Supply and use what my hair dresser uses.
cool that helps coz im gping swimming soon abd then staright to a resturant .. and i dont want ma hair to be a frizzball 4 ma bday party

everyone at school hates me because i sleep with wet hair, rarely brush it after i shower, and im quite rough with it, but never have to straighten it (its naturally that way) and yet people tell me i have beautiful hair. :D

i just tried this the other day before going out to dinner. it really does work. my hiar is reeally thick and there for it gets poofy anf firzzy faster. this is a must-do for me.
This was really helpfuL. I normaly go mad when I towl dry cos I'm always in a rush. Another good thing is try to use a straightening nozzel on your hairdryer.
thanks! this tip is very helpful
Also, comb your hair in the shower after your done washing it and then squeeze the water out of your hair and dry your hair with a paper towel. It works!
what is a decent drug store leave in conditioner?
I usually just wrap my hair up in the towel and leave it for 30 mins. Is this bad?
Just a tip regarding leaving conditioner in while you shae and soap up. I have found that clipping your hair up in the shower with conditioner in hair is helpful in that the ends don't get washed or unintentionaly loose the conditioner. This allows you to scrub, then take out clip (now in hair for about ten minutes).
Leave-in conditioner sprays help somewhat. But if you have really frizzy hair, I would say use a hair cream. Apply it to your hair when it's still damp. That way, when it dries (doesn't matter if you blow dry or let it air dry) your hair will still have moisture in it. I apply some more cream to my hair after it's been dried as well.
Btw, Dove and Sunsilk have some very good and affordable hair creams. I personally swear by just one hair product ----> Dove Advanced Care Anti-Frizz Cream!!
i use a really good serum that is light weight by kenra it really helps and doesn't make ur hair look greasy. any body need hair tips im in cosmetology school just message me
