Although you may love the drama of a manicure done in a deep or vivid hue, dark polishes can leave stains behind. To remove unsightly stains on your nails, soak in a solution of one cup of warm water mixed with the juice of a lemon (more stubborn stains may need scrubbing with a sponge or old toothbrush). To prevent stains in the future, be sure to use a basecoat before applying color to your nails (bonus: your polish will last longer too!).
