Skincare Beauty Tip

Run out of exfoliator? No problem!

Run out of exfoliator? No problem! If you're staring at an empty bottle of exfoliator in dismay, never fear! A trusty washcloth can act as stand-in until you can replenish your supply. Be sure to have a clean, nubby terry facecloth on hand and buff lightly (don't rub!) to remove dead surface skin cells for that healthy glow.

nxtmodel replied: Wed, 2008-01-09 22:06

does it work or does the brown sugar break your face out (i have sensitive skin)

ch_lovin... replied: Thu, 2008-01-10 12:04

No, my neice used it and it actually cleared up her acne. Only if you are allergic should you have problems. Just mix a little if you are unsure and put a little bit on a small spot and test it out and if you are going to have a reaction it will should up within the next 24 hours.

brontegabriella replied: Sun, 2008-02-17 14:07

Or salt/caster sugar with a bit of olive oil.

freckleluvr16 replied: Tue, 2009-01-20 15:49

wow does it work well?

sifreynir wrote: Wed, 2008-01-02 16:57

Or, you could just use oatmeal. Its fantastic for skin problems and a little bit mixed with a drop or two of water beats just about every exfoliator I have ever tried. 100 times cheaper too.

angel_eyes74 replied: Thu, 2008-01-03 09:10

Oatmeal is a great moistuizer as well. Someone said to put some oatmeal in a pantyhose and put it in the bath tub and soak in it. Sound relaxing.

My BFF told me about using baby oil and sea salt and it gives the best results I've had. It really is amazing!

ninnisen wrote: Thu, 2008-01-03 08:37

For a home made peeling, use some household salt and olive oil. Works great.

brontegabriella replied: Sun, 2008-02-17 14:08

I do that! You can use sugar instead of salt too - this is nice as a lip exfoliator.

ch_lovin... replied: Thu, 2008-01-03 16:13

you just put half milk and half brown sugar.

barberlady wrote: Thu, 2008-01-03 19:26
