do you leave it on overnight or wash it off? did it really work for you?

pete3347 replied: Wed, 2008-03-05 23:00

"omg" be cautious with this one! i was adventurous and made a paste paste with toothpaste and aspirin. well the blemish was gone, and so was my skin! now im scared to even use aspirin alone...i basically had a huuuuge scab on my face...oooh gawd...

ch_lovin... replied: Thu, 2008-03-06 19:28

That's the toothpaste darlin! I had a friend do that and it looked like a bullet hole right between the eyes. I think it has to do with baking soda or something.

kamiandtodd wrote: Wed, 2007-10-17 14:26

what do you do with a zit that is under the skin but swollen and red?

sstar30 wrote: Thu, 2007-10-18 07:15

Yes I would like to know how long you leave it there for as well, also is this for mild acne with occasional breakouts??

fcb2010 replied: Sat, 2007-11-17 18:47

you guys should try the cetaphil face wash. i got a free sample from my dermatologist..but I'm not sure where to buy more cause its a little bottle. theres also a moisturizer by cetaphil too.. try it at see if it works because its working for me. my dermatologist wants to get rid of the bumps then work on the blemishes that are left behind.

:)))

ch_lovin... replied: Wed, 2007-11-21 15:34

You can get Cetaphil at Wal Mart or any drug store by the face washes. Does it work better than Clearasil Daily Deep cleansing face wash? They have the same active ingrediant called Triclosan which is a great anti bacteria med and is the only thing that gets derep into pore. Clearasil cleared my face but I get these hug ones that just chill on my face and it's only like one but it's huge! Do you know what to do?

ebeal1234 replied: Sun, 2008-01-06 00:13

u can get it at costco aswell

walnutwildcats92 replied: Sun, 2008-01-06 13:42

ooo walmart has it its like 7 dollars but it works, it worked for me but since my acne is almost severe it wasnt strong but its good if you want really soft skin

lissaprimrose replied: Wed, 2008-01-16 12:51

I've herd about using asprin to help with blemishes, and I use it occasionally. I'm on two medications for my acne so I don't need to use it that much. But, you are only supposed to leve the asprin on for 10-15 minutes, and then wash it off. Leving it on for too long will dry out your skin too much.

ch_lovin... replied: Thu, 2008-01-17 16:50

That's the point to dry out the "problem area" You aren't suppose to put it all over your face just the spot and leave it on overnight. You can always put moisturizer on it especially if it's just one or a couple spots.

ch_lovin... wrote: Thu, 2007-10-18 10:53

I think I am going to try this because everyone gets an ocassional breakout especially around that time of the month. Just a heads up the best face wash is Clearasil Deep cleanse daily face wash. I use to breakout out all the time and now I only breakout out around my monthly. It has Triclosan which is an anti-bacterial found in a lot of anti-bacterial soaps and it is th eonly thing that gets deep down into pores. try it for about a week and tell me what you think! I will let you know about the aspirin thing as well.

lady_bean replied: Thu, 2007-10-18 19:01

Clearasil deep cleanse is the b****x! love it and cleared my face up pronto wen i 1st started using it and now like u said, i only breakout when im on. let us know about the asparin lol =)

lechar replied: Sun, 2007-11-04 16:03

will clearasil deep cleanse make the blemish fade too? thanks for ur prompt response!

ch_lovin... replied: Mon, 2007-11-05 18:50

It does but Neutrogena Acne Mark fading Peel is the best for fading those blemishes! It costs about $12 but it lasts a long time and it works too. I don't know about you guys but I have pale skin and my blemishes stand out big time especially when it's cold outside so this stuff works great.

walnutwildcats92 replied: Sun, 2008-01-06 13:44

i kno whatcha mean with the pale skin and red blemishes i absolutely hate it. its hard to live life wit blemishes but what else can we do?

ch_lovin... replied: Mon, 2008-01-07 14:12

The acne mark fading peel by neutrogena is the only one that has worked for me

Has anyone ever tried proactive? I always see those commercials but it looks too good to be true. I am trying the aspirin thing right now, not sure how long to leave it on for but I will post any results!

ch_lovin... replied: Fri, 2007-10-19 14:31

I tried proactive and it didn't work. Those ***holes got my money for almost 4 months and nothing! I guess it depends on what kind of acne you have. Let us know what happens with aspirin.

geri411 replied: Sun, 2007-11-11 20:18

I used Proatice for 1 year and y acne was the same its that way for everyone, so don't think it diffrent for

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-11-13 12:21

I never had acne until I started birth control so mine was hormonal.

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-11-13 12:22

Plus I know several people in which it didn't work for them a they had all different types of acne. So It really does depend on the individual.

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-11-13 12:20

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion like me and you. That means people can tell their own opinions without people taking offense and thinking they are being descriminated against personally. I said it didn't work for me and it was a waste of time if it worked for you then I am happy for you. Everyone is different. I am not bashing you in particular

ch_lovin... replied: Mon, 2007-10-29 18:20

Everyones acne is different I guess. I wish I knew abou tmy product in high school too. I was always going to a dermatologist and I have very dry skin and everything just made it worse.

mrslady03 replied: Thu, 2007-11-01 11:18

I use Proactive and it really does work for me. I love it. If you use it like it says too, it will do what it does ;)

dragon1 replied: Sun, 2007-12-09 23:43

I tried Proactive as I break-out in what my doctor calls acne cysts - ugly huge suckers that look as if there are 3 big zits joined together!!!

Proactive was too stringent for my skin and totally dried it out. I ended up with flakey and spotty skin instead.

I went on the contraceptive pill called Diane 35 - great for acne sufferers. Only got the odd one around my period.

Hope this helps

ch_lovin... replied: Thu, 2007-12-13 14:24

There is a pill called Diane 35? I am on Loestrin Fe 24 and you have only 4 "placebo or reminder pills" instead of 5 or 7. It is lower in estrogen and hormones and I have been on it for two months and it helps my skin as well. After your body gets use to it, it is a great pill as well.
