does anyone else look dead or like a zombie when they try to do a smokey eye? This is help a lot though! The one that looked the easiest was the smokey eye tutorial and I love that song!

your eyes probably have like natural eyeliner(i know,it sounds wierd.)My friend is like that.
whenever we try to put mascara or eyeliner on her it doesn't look right.

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2007-12-04 13:30

no I wear mascara and eyeliner but for some reason it looks bad on me or else I don't do it right. I just better with more natural looks.

It does look quite simple but whenever I try it I end up looking zombie like too, lol. Could it be because I have pale skin coloring?

ch_lovin... replied: Wed, 2007-10-24 16:19

I'm whiter than white too! lol maybe thats why. I wish I could have a professional do it.

ch_lovin... replied: Wed, 2007-12-19 15:55

Girl we need to get tans! lol :)

alliecaulfield replied: Sat, 2008-01-12 15:57

I don't agree with you girls, it's absolutely not a question of skin complexion! I've got a very pale skin, and I can get a very good smokey eye look!
Besides, i have rather small eyes so that it was more difficult to me to achieve that than for other girls. however, here's what I discovered and some of my advises:
1. Try using different sizes of brushes, including a very thin one, instead of sponges. Personnaly, I use Sephora Professional brushes, even if there are quite expensive, you will see very quickly the difference! You will be able to aply your powder more precisely.
2. If you think black or grey is too dark for your skin complexion, try to use different shades of brown or a set of different shades of colors (eg. blue marine to sky blue) so that its doesn't look too "rock'n'roll" (i know some gals don't like it even though I do!)
3. Practise! I know it sounds stupid, but doing it more than once in your life helps! My first result was awfull! try and try again : nobodies was born with the ability to do a perfect make up!
I hope I helped you!

I know that's what I did. I just played around with it and practiced like I used colors instead of black and it's all about technique and practice.

candaceb replied: Sun, 2008-02-17 14:12

What colors should I use if I have bleuish grey eyes.

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2008-02-19 11:47

Purples girlfriend! They would look dazzling! Like the Rimmel brand has a color called Inspiration and topped with a color called Bedazzled Biscotti from Covergirl is super sexy. My favorite!

candaceb replied: Fri, 2008-02-22 09:29

Purples with pink?? That would be really nice I agree. What about greens, not too dark but some nice tones. =)

ch_lovin... replied: Fri, 2008-02-22 17:22

Green would totally work since you have grey in yours eyes. That would look pretty even the darker greens.

candaceb replied: Sat, 2008-02-23 10:59

I went and bought some this morning while I was running some errands. A nice pink and purple( but not TOO dark), and really nice shades of green. I am very happy with them! I guess all I have to do now is practice putting them on.

Thanks! =)

ch_lovin... replied: Sat, 2008-02-23 22:48

Welcome :)

That's what I had to do too! Just got some pretty shades and practiced. They will look gorgeous I'm sure!

the make up eraser pen was so lush. I'm forever making mistakes especially with my mascara. Where can i get one?!

lviz7 replied: Sun, 2007-10-21 16:23

You can get a make up eraser pen at Ulta...I use one every day do erase any mistakes I make when doing bottom mascara...it works really well...just use a make up sponge or a tissue to wipe away what you erased...GOOD LUCK!!

ch_lovin... replied: Tue, 2008-02-19 11:48

They have them at Wal Mart too now. One of the big make up brands them...maybe Revlon.

aba_forson wrote: Sun, 2007-10-21 12:25

ohsnapitsadzx3 wrote: Sun, 2007-10-21 19:31

if you look like a zombie, do a brown or sage instead of a grey or black

candaceb replied: Sun, 2007-10-21 20:26

Ill give it a try thx!

ch_lovin... replied: Wed, 2007-10-24 16:28

I think it is just the whole darkness around the eyes. U use lighter colors but I just wish I could pull it off. I want to have like MAC or some kind of profeesional do it.

candaceb replied: Thu, 2007-10-25 18:05

Lol, too bad they dont sell those ladies who do makeup, I would defenetly buy one!

ch_lovin... replied: Fri, 2007-10-26 17:25

pinkdiamond95 wrote: Mon, 2007-10-22 09:39

lviz7 replied: Mon, 2007-10-22 19:42
