One of my favorite things in the summer is the effortless hairstyles. Nothing looks sexier than a tousled, slightly messy updo or beachy waves. Notice I said SLIGHTLY messy--there's a big difference between hair that looks carefree and looking like you got caught on the wrong end of a wind machine.
You have to be especially diligent in the summer, when humidity and heat combine to create out-of-control locks. That's why I'm loving this new frizz-busting serum, which claims to keep hair silky and manageable even in high humidity. Avon's Advance Technique Frizz Control Lotus Shield uses a formula inspired by the lotus leaf plant to create a natural shield that prevents moisture from penetrating the hair. It keeps frizz out and your hair looking polished.
I tried Lotus Shield out on a recent 90 degree day, the type that usually leaves my hair so out of control that people start wondering if I may or may not be a street urchin. I was definitely surprised with its frizz-reducing capabilities. Not only did it keep my frizz in check, it also helped eliminate pouf, something my hair really stuggles with in the summer. I let me hair air dry and Lotus Shield helped coax out my natural waves and helped them stay smooth. By the end of the day my hair was miraculously frizz-free, smooth and not even a little bit wilted, a definite plus in my book!

To keep the frizz out in the humid summer I usually don't put conditioner in my hair in the shower but use a little bit of leave-in conditioner on my ends after i towel dry my hair and then massage mousse into my roots for a little lift and hold. This keeps from my roots getting too oily but keeping my ends from frizzing out.
I have to use lots of conditioner and macadamia oil to keep my frizz under control... and I still need help!
I use Moroccan Oil products and let my hair air dry all summer long to keep it healthy and silky smooth while letting the waves come through.
I try as best as I can to keep my hair frizz free in this humid weather we have all the time in Texas. I stick to suave curl mouse and occasionally run some smoothing serum through during the day to try and keep my hair from looking like roseann rosana dana from Saturday Night Live. I also use hydrating shampoo and for those really humid days I use catwalk curling mousse and a little hairspray. It's usually a mix and match game that at times I lose. But I love my curls no matter what!! :)
I wish I knew how to keep my hair frizz free and fabulous! I dread those 90 degree high humidity days because they leave me looking like a chia pet. I did read that the best way to combat frizz is to moisturize hair, since frizz is created by your hair being dry and sucking in the moisture from the air. If your hair is well hydrated, it won't need moisture from an outside source and will prevent frizz from happening.
I cant keep the friz out so i try 2 style my hair up.
Letting my hair air dry in a ponytail helps some.
I wash my hair at night in a nice warm shower, in the morning I take a cold shower (which both wakes you and your skin up, and keeps your hair from frizzing.) The shower at night, I wash, condition and after put a small amount of leave in conditioner in. I let my hair dry part way, twist it up and clip it to the top of my head. In the morning I have frizz free, wavy, hair. If needed I use the blow drier to fix my bangs.
I'd buy the Advanced Techniques Moisture Sleek Smoothing Shampoo, Conditioner, and Creme, from Avon. According to the reviews it works really well on most all hair types and reduces frizz nearly all the way. It also leaves your hair soft and smelling good!
I simply put shampoo and a generous amount of conditioner. Sometimes I put some hair serum too. When all else fails, I tie my wavy hair back.
I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum when my hair is damp and it seems to do a decent job. I tend to use a good amount of conditioner and also occasionally use deep conditioners such as Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moisturizer Treatment, which smells really good! I also try not to blow dry or flat iron as often since for me this leads to more frizz, so that means I wear my up hair up more often, which is sometimes better when it's warm out.
To keep the frizz down i try to air dry my hair, not rub it against the towl much and keep away from touching it too much till its semi dry. This usually just tames it just a bit so I have to run a straightening iron through the top to make it look presentable. I've tried 3 different products to control my frizz and neither have been successful so far. I love avon's products so hope this one works!
I have tried it all with no success. Charlotte, NC humidity wins every time. I am hopeful that this new Avon product will work.
leave in conditioner... between the daily trips to the pool, the beach once or twice a week... I fight all summer long to keep my hair moist and frizz free-- rarely successfully though!
I use special frizz ease hair products and blast hair with cold water before getting out of the shower!
I blast my hair with cold water after conditioning!
I use a leave in conditioner and then towel dry my hair as hair dryers tend to frizz my hair more and naturally my hair has a natural curl that id like to preserve =D
Frizz has become my worst enemy this summer with so much humidity. I swear, I look like Shirley Temple at times even though my hair is normally straight. I rarely use a blow dryer and let my hair dry naturally. I lightly apply a leave in conditioner after shampooing as other conditioners leave my hair oily and heavy. This works until I go outside then all is lost!
I put son body lotions on my hair to keep it from looking frizzy. oil works too.
Ponytails, ponytails, and more ponytails. Which is no good for my hair, but with everything that I have tried, it either makes my hair really oily or super crunchy!!! So I pretty much gave up.
Way back when, I used Frizz-ease. Then I discovered ceramic straighteners & haven't looked back! Straightening my hair keeps the frizz away & locks the moisture in. On lazy days, I just put my hair in a ponytail or a bun :o)
I aussie moose the frizz out.
I mainly do two things during the summer months...
I switch to a shampoo that has mor moisture in and love Phytojoba and I also finish with a cool rinse to help seal in the moisture. The other main thing I do is go natural during the summer months...no hair coloring and straigteners. I just let the summer sunshine change the color and once fall begins I hit the salon again.
I just air dry it and then put it up in a ponytail or barrette because it is always too frizzy to wear down.
I blow dry my hair on the cool setting to smooth it out.
I deep condition my hair twice a week, and always blow dry it before going outside. I'd love to find better ways to fight frizz.
I don't have a way to keep my hair frizz-free. That's why I want to win the product! (:
I like to use hot oil treatments! :)
Lots of conditioner! Frederic Fekkai Olive Oil glossing line with coconut oil and then Fekkai olive glossing cream. It weighs it down slightly but at least I am not a walking bath poof!
Let it air dry :)

I use John Frieda's "Frizz-ease" set: the serum, the gel, and the "secret weapon" cream once my hair has dried (it's super curly, too). I also have recently converted to the "no 'poo" persuasion: I use conditioner on my head AND my hair, and rub it in to my scalp like it's shampoo and then rinse, instead of using shampoo.
I don't - no matter what I try my hair is still as frizzy as ever!
In the summer I like to shower at night to keep my hair from being frizzy i sleep on a silky pillow case. Also i sometimes rub a dryer sheet on my hair if it is staticky.
