...And how do you get it off afterwards? :/

Seems it would snag on everything. Not cute to me. Looks like spiderwebs or something. Ew.

Hmmmm, I have been doing this for over 10 years.....who was it that made this so original?

OMG !! I WANT THIS !!!!

such a haute idea! I can't wait to try it - the manicurist's nails were nice too! great post : )

Beautiful nail manicure.Hope i can try it.

Love this! Will try it asap. Do you mind letting me know what type of spray glue dry that you used?
Thx for sharing! : )

It's actually a bit tricky to get off. You need to soak a cotton ball in acetone polish remover and just hold it there until the resin disintegrates. It took me about five minutes to get it off and it came off after I picked at it a bit. But the good news was it lasted over two weeks so I got a lot of wear out of it, which made the removal process worthwhile.

Surprisingly it doesn't snag. Because you are painting two coats of resin over it, it creates a smooth shell over top the lace. You can can feel the raised portions where the lace and mesh are, but they don't have any roughness so they don't catch on things. I wore tights more than a few times while I had the manicure and never had an problems.

Sure thing! I used Isabel Cristina Let's Go Spray Nail Glue Activator. You can find it at Sally beauty stores nationwide. Here's a link: http://www.sallybeauty.com/Nail-Glue-Activator/SBS-351000,default,pd.html

Have fun!

OMG That is sooo cute!

It looks really complicated but i was wondering, sould you use regular nail polish instead of the resin? if not then where would i get it and if so i could use any color of nail polish right?? and one more thing i was wondering why did the presentation nail look so gloppy? that part is not so glamerous to me. is there any way of preventing that?

Hi Becca,
I don't think a regular polish would be able to hold the lace on your nail. Resin is very thick and very sticky so it is able to hold onto the lace. Resin can be found at beauty supply stores like Sally Beauty. My nail might have looked a little gloopy because the lace I used wasn't mesh-y enough. Use one that is finer instead of thicker in order to prevent the gloop. Hope that helped!

I also used Isabel Cristina Let's Go Spray Nail Glue Activator. It's amazing!
