Hair Heist: Amanda Seyfried
I'll just say it: Amanda Seyfried is gorgeous. The girl looks like a doll. The quintessential cheerleaderesque blonde has proven her range as an actress with her complicated character Sarah Henrickson on Big Love. Though Gretchen Wieners couldn't pull it off, I'd argue that Amanda's character Karen Smith did make fetch happen. I'm constantly blown away by Amanda's sleuth ability to pick the perfect medium pink lipsticks to compliment her pale complexion. While I'd posit that her hair is the only reason to watch her latest movie Dear John, there's zero follicular variation throughout the movie. Amanda also doesn't change her 'do much when she glams it up on the red carpet. It's gorgeous hair--hair I covet, even--but it's always the same old, same old with her. Frankly, you're boring me, Amanda. Let's throw you in the makeover studio and see how you'd look in some edgier 'dos, 'kay?
Anne Hathaway's long, angled bob would give innocent Amanda a small amount of street cred--she currently has all the rough edges of a Skittle. Now that's a style even Mean Girls' Janis Ian would appreciate for its slightly rockin' effect.
Rachel McAdams' casual boho-braided updo would give Amanda a softer hippie vibe that would be a welcome change of pace from her usual Breck Shampoo commerical hair.
Reese Witherspoon's wispy bangs add a playfulness to Amanda's signature long, wavy blonde locks.

I agree that Amanda needs to do something- anything with her hair. I mean she never ever changes it. The Rachel McAdams do doesn't work on Amanda because her face is too thin. The Reese Witherspoon look doesn't work either because of the same reason~too skinny and it makes her face look too long. The Anne Hathaway look is good- and the color you chose for her locks accents her skin tone- Nice pick!!

I LOVE the braided boho braid on her. It's such a different look on her and she looks totally gorgeous! It actually looks better on her than Rachel!

Well to her credit you have to remember Hollywood is all about image and marketability and she sells herself as the innocent, sweet girl next door type and those soft curls do exactly that. Although the other styles look good on her, only the braids stay true to the image she's trying to portray.

I'm torn between rachel mcadams braided do and reese witherspoons wispy bang. The braided hair really shows off her facial features and looks very lovely. On the other hand, we love amandas hair the way it is, but it needs a little something extra. Thats why i like the wispy bang. its still like her hairstyle, but it gives a bit more spunk and personality i think. I did like the bob, but then again i just dont think it suits her.

Melissa, I totally agree with you - She looks so pretty with that updo! I like the "lob" on her, too. I makes her look a little more mature.

It's a sad state of affairs when all we can do is criticize someone's choice of hairstyle. Ya all need to get a life for heaven's sake! I think her hair is lovely just the way it is.

Though she looks good in all the makeovers, she looks best with her soft curls. She looks sweet and natural. Her hair is well conditioned and flowing. In my experience girls/women like to change styles periodically, but when you already look great, why change!?!

I like her style the best. Love the braids. But that one is totally different from the others being an updo. I do not like Anne Hathaways style on her at all. Reese's is OK.

Her hairstyle right now is beautiful--what I wouldn't give for those gorgeous locks! Why would anyone want shaggy hair like Anne's (she is the one who could use a makeover!) or messy hair like Reese's anyway! Rachel's hair is a nice style and looks good on Amanda, but who keeps their hair up all the time? It would be a once in a while look which she could achieve anytime she wants a change.

I like the Anne Hathaway look on her. She looks chic and cool. I also like the Rachel McAdams one because it's different and it gives her a different vibe. Almost sweet in a sense. I don't like the Reese Whiterspoon hairstyle because it makes her look old and her face is to long for it.
