Drew Barrymore loves "playing" with fashion. The Going The Distance actress--who is also the face of CoverGirl cosmetics--admits she likes to play a character when she is on the red carpet and mix up her look from time-to-time.

She said, "I feel like I'm playing a character. I love fashion. I think in fashion, the same as in relationships--no rules. So sometimes I'm in a demure mood and sometimes I've got big, just-got-shagged Texas hair and a ball gown. I just think it's fun to play. I love playing so much."

Discussing her role as the face of CoverGirl, 35-year-old Drew admits she occasionally thinks of herself as unattractive, but makes the most of what she has.

She told Hello! magazine, "There's a big difference between being obsessed with beauty and wanting to look and feel your best. This is what I was given and I want to work with that, but I've played a lot of characters who were unattractive by society's standards. I've related to those women a lot more at times."
