I don't pack because I learned, a long, long time ago, that any beauty maven should already have her fav products already to go because a great life requires you to already have her bags packed and raring to go.
In my check-on luggage, I have a large size roll-up that houses the medium-size beauty essentials that I cannot live without (they are larger because I always keep my bags packed and can't often refill in between travel junkets). My beauty travel survival kit is founded on the presence of essential double-duty items such as: Johnson's baby powder, Neutrogena body oil, a full-size toothbrush, sample-size Crest toothpaste (it works great for zits but when it gets hardened--in between trips--it can be difficult to use so small sizes are best), Q-tips, Deodorant/Antiperspirant (they all work about the same), Tide sample packets, St. Ives Apricot facial scrub, Tylenol tablets, Non-acetone nail and still leave white marks), polish remover, mini cotton balls, purse-size atomizer of Flower bomb (mmm good), a pair of CZ studs, and some Vaseline.
But that's not all, there's still the carry-on. Perhaps you think I'm being greedy. Well, you've never gotten your luggage lost in a Paris airport for 72 hours. Believe me, life and beauty MUST go on. Unfortunately, with the new regulations, I can't bring all my essentials so I've worked (against my skin's better judgement) to pare my stash down to the bare minimum. Some of my yummy ( and oh-so-adorable travel-size) "save me essentials" are:
*foldable toothbrush (still full size because I'm a grown-up with a grown-up mouth)
*Crest toothpaste (regular-remember it's double use for zits and other ailments)
*Almay Mascara in Purple (it brightens my tired eyes and makes my lashes go on forever)
*Always feminine wipes (I use them for EVERYTHING and the smells is mmm mmm good)
*Nourish My Eyes Cucumbers eye cooling pads (no explanation needed)
*Olay facial cleansing cloths for Combination skin (they clean so well I often dip into my travel stash EVEN when I am home BTW they DO NOT dry out your skin)
*Mario Badescu AHA Moisturizer (all sensitive skin folks, if you don't know "Mario" you better find out who he is)
*DEGREE deodorant/antiperspirant (it has a knack for holding back sweat and unruly body odors)
*Wrigley's Spearmint gum (fresh breath always brings people--who are too close--a little closer)
And, luckily, there's still room for my sewing kit and SHOUT wipes because there's something that you never plan for.
