If there's one thing I've learned from reporting on the latest skincare discoveries for the last decade, it's to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Next to putting on sunscreen religiously, regularly removing dead skin cells helps minimize wrinkles, boost collagen, and maintain that coveted glow. While the concept of why we need to exfoliate (out with the old, in with the new) is still the same, the way in which we can go about it has certainly evolved. Of course you can still use a gritty scrub, but when DDF offered me a sneak peek of their new Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System, a nifty skin-resurfacing gadget, I was 100% up for the test.
While DDF claims the device to be more effective than a pricey professional microdermabrasion treatment, I claim that it is more enjoyable than a swanky spa treatment. The rotating head feels like a relaxing facial massage (other microdermabrasion gadgets vibrate, which tickles more than soothes) and the DDF Polishing Crystals, made of sodium bicarbonate, warm up on your skin--a very comforting feeling. The device itself is really light, easy to hold, and safe to use in the shower, which makes incorporating this regimen into your daily routine quite simple. But most importantly, the results are great. After just a few uses, I saw a noticeable improvement in how soft and radiant my skin looks.
