Even though celebrities have stylists and unlimited shopping budgets, they can still manage to make some bad judgment calls. Jennifer Lopez is a prime example of the "matchy-matchy" fashion faux pas with this python dress and thigh-high boots. If her boots were any higher we might wind up mistaking her for an actual snake. When you're wearing such a bold print, avoid matching your entire outfit so that your look doesn't become too overwhelming.

Over-Accessorizing

Accessories can make or break an outfit, but wear too many of them (no matter how great the pieces are individually) and you'll hit an overload. Hilary Duff proves this true with a black velvet hat and large, statement earrings. Separately each piece would pack a punch, but together? It comes off as too gaudy and excessive.

Too Trendy

Trends may come and go, but there's no need to try them all at once. Jessica Szohr tries to pull off a: 1. long jumpsuit 2. loud print, and 3. wide leg. By mixing too many fashion fads instead of one or even two, she winds up looking like a hot mess.

Unflattering Proportions

Aubrey O'Day isn't the most svelte celeb out there, but she's not necessarily large and in charge, either. By accentuating her body with unflattering proportions like these embellished shoulders, loose waistband and bias cut with yards of fabric, she does nothing to help her figure. Make sure your clothes focus on your best features and NOT your worst.

Underwear As Outerwear

Lacy camisoles and corsets are perfect for adding a bit of sexiness and bedroom boudoir appeal to an outfit, but don't forget that there's a difference between actual lingerie and lingerie-inspired clothing. The latter is acceptable to wear as outwear, whereas the former tends to come off as trashy. However, apparently Taylor Momsen missed the memo with these knee-highs and garters.

Cutting Off Height With Knee-Highs

A lot of shorter women often try to add a few inches to their height with heels. Be weary of knee-high shoes however, as they can chop up your look and actually knock off a few inches. Exhibit A: Snooki and her knee-high gladiator heels--the length of the shoe cuts off the length of her legs, turning her a true "meatball" size.

It's a no-brainer that horizontal stripes are not the most flattering look.
