Is thick fringe for you?
Bold bangs are a big hit right now. Jessica Alba (at left), Mena Suvari, Kim Kardashian, and Kerry Washington (all below) are just a few celebs who are sporting thick brow-skimming fringe. This bold hairstyle is definitely hot, but watch out--not everyone can wear it. So if you're tempted to give yourself a big bang makeover, listen to this advice I scooped from Jay Small of the Caru salon in Hoboken, New Jersey.
• Big bangs enhance your cheeks, so if you have a round face or wide cheekbones, this look may backfire and make your face look wider. On the flip side, thin and oval faces will benefit from this bang style.
• Kinky hair caution: If you have curls, waves or cowlicks around your hairline, be forewarned that you will have to spend time each morning smoothing out your bangs. Unless you have naturally stick straight hair, this is not a wash'n'wear look.
• Skip this look if you wear eyeglasses.
• "Use a styling spray that boosts shine, creates texture, and helps bangs keep their shape without feeling stiff," suggests Small. He uses Paul Mitchell Illuminating Shine Spray.

I think side bangs work for everyone, cuz they're not thick (unless you want them to be!:D) and the dont cover your whole forehead!!:) What a break through. But always part your hair straight parts aren't that attractive unless you're Tyra Banks!!

Straight, full bangs are kind of a pain to take care of. A hint based on personal experience: get your bangs cut at an angle, even a slight one that you can't really see. Then you can wear them straight or brushed off to the side and they look good both ways.

Hey whats up to all!!.... I would like to say ..that I think bangs are sexy!!....It's all about on how u style u'r hair and bangs. Personally, I think Jessica's bangs need a little more of a touch up to frame her face correctlly..but I think she looks Fly!!!!...change is always good...especially with the new year almost here!! U GO GIRL

I had a forehead fringe put in a week a go and I love it just as long as I straighten it or blow dry it properly every day ... Otherwise it goes wavy and stupid.
I think Kim Kardashian's bangs look really nice, but Jessica's dont suit her face shape...I think I look better with a fringe, too, as it's not too thick.

I think bangs are good. But you should keep them trimmed above the eyebrows or right at. I can't stand the ones that are too long and go in your eyes, it's so annoying. And you gotta keep them squeaky clean and you have to have enough of them cut and layered ones are nice they way they don't look flat and stuck to your forehead and greasy! And to do a nice bend to them with a curling iron you pull it out as you curl them or just curl them under with a round brush and blow dryer. I never heard that guys didn't like them because of looking like cartoon characters , that's funny! But this one guy told me before my straight across bangs made me look older cause he claimed all the younger girls he knows don't wear them and he had me brush them to the side. I don't care for jessica alba's bangs here, but the rest look alright I guess. I think they look hot on the brunette! 1st brunette down.

My two cents. I read an online article that stated guys between the ages of 20-30 really HATE women in thick fringe bangs. The guys think women look like video game characters.
