Wow--what an amazing conversation has surfaced in reaction to the virtual makeover we gave "Britain's Got Talent" overnight superstar Susan Boyle. Some people have been cheering on the idea of a makeover while others are adamantly opposed to changing a single hair.
When it comes down to it, it's a personal choice. Either you love to switch up your look and don't think that changing your haircolor, putting on some lipstick or tweezing your brows changes your identity, but rather enhances it. Or, you prefer to keep it all natural and low maintenance, which seems to be the way this singing sensation will go. When Larry King asked her if she was going to consider a makeover, her response was, "Why should I? Why should I change?"
The beauty of Daily Makeover is that the try-on technology helps you make that "Do I want a makeover?" decision by allowing you to see what you'd look like with a new hairstyle or lipstick before spending the time or money.
The bottom line is, you should feel confident and fabulous about how you look--no matter what others say. And whether that means you want a total makeover or keep everything as is, that's up to you, but we're here to help you make that decision.
What does a makeover mean to you? Take our survey and tell us what you think. We'd love to hear from you!
Susan is an AMAZING singer i think she should get a make over that is as strong as her voice!
Susan is a beautiful lady just as she is, why do you and everyone think she has to change. God made her and she is happy with herself. People look only on the outside, God sees the inside. You should be ashamed of yourselves...the lady has a great voice and that is enough.
I don't even know what were talking about! :) TEE HEE
Susan has an amazing voice. She deserves a makeover. A lot of women don't know how to bring out their natural beauty. I think she would be happier if her looks were a little softer. I, too, have naturally curly hair. It looks so much better when I use a styling blow dryer (that takes out the friz) and it's time for her to cover the gray. I had to face it, myself. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best. She is still young enough to shine. Her current style makes her look like she is in her 60's and it isn't necessary to stay with it. Now days, there are so many techniques that would help her appearance so that when she is singing, the audience wouldn't be so shocked by the contrast between her beautiful voice and her out-of-date look. I think she would look great as a redhead (with highlights) with a soft, straightened pageboy look without bangs. Also, her eyebrows need shaping to soften the look and make her look more feminine. I would love to see the transformation. I am so proud of her that she has such a marvelous gift of that angelic voice. She should have a very bright future.
No, no, no and no again! It's about time that society forgets such superficial attributes as a "makeover". Here is a rare person, a REAL person with a lovely voice. Shouldn't that be enough?
Sure everyone is entitled to look good, but surely a bit of lippy and makeup would go down well. See www.touchmeup.com.au
Wow. I can't believe that people are getting so upset just because some of us are suggesting a silly little makeover! It's just a haircut and some make-up people! We aren't suggesting she get a face lift or lipo! Good God! I could understand if people were hounding her about getting on a diet and going to see Dr. 90210. Relax people!
I have no idea who she is, but she seems very nurturing.
She doesn't need a makeover, just some maintenance and grooming!
Look at Pavarotti...? He didn't need a make-over..? It's the voice that impresses and the ability to perform that attracts. Come to think of it, Susan does an even better job by just being herself as opposed to the sterio-type insecure viewer's warped opinion - who would not even venture onto the stage because they have an inferiority complex or insecurity or inability to perform. I bet a lot of mixed up people are actually the proponents who are proposing a make-over because they just don't have the goods! And probably because they are on top of the vanity industry - trying to rip people because they want it for the money.
I say Susan, you go girl!!!
Neither of the makeover ideas made her look better. in fact, they are worse. Susan looks better with the short curls near her face.
Are these licensed beauticians?! Not much talent here.

It's up to Susan, not to us. If she doesn't want to change, then 'nuff said.
