Carlos Campos' Fall '09 collection may have been full of sophisticated, uniform-like pieces, but the makeup brought back memories of youthful late night debauchery.

Working with Emani Minerals, makeup artist Karlo went for a theme of "what lies behind the Walk of Shame."

He created a pallid, somber face and bare lip, choosing to center the focus on a smudged and imperfect smoky eye. Dark shadow was smeared on the lid from the inner corner, all the way up to the browbone and halfway to the outer edge of the eye. The rest of the lid was left devoid of color, as if the model had wiped it off in a haste.

Mascara was added only to the outer corner of the top lashes in order to compensate for the missing shadow. "We're really playing up the contrast of light and dark," said Karlo. "We wanted to make it so you only saw this struggle and emotion through the eyes."
