Step 1: Starting with loosely curled, dry hair, isolate a halo section of hair on top of your head.

Step 2: Take a two-inch section within the halo and hold straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and back comb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections within the halo.

Step 3: Use a natural-bristle brush and smooth just your hair in front as you direct it back. Add a thin hair-matching headband to push your curls back off your face. Spritz with hairspray to hold style.
