Step 1: Distribute a dollop of mousse onto towel-dried hair. Using a large round brush, blow-dry two-inch sections at a time while lifting the roots for volume and slightly rolling the ends under.

Step 2: Take a two-inch section of hair at the very top of your head and hold it straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with several sections on top of your head and then smooth back over the surface with a natural-bristled brush.

Step 3: Spritz with hairspray to finish.
