Step 1: Start with dry, slightly wavy hair. Take a 5-inch section through your length then split it in half vertically.

Step 2: From the outside of the left section, take a 3/4-inch section of hair, cross it over the top of the left section and add it to the section on the right side.

Step 3: From the outside of the right section, take a 3/4-inch section of hair, cross it over the top of the right section and add it to the section on the left side. Repeat until you reach the end of the hair. Secure with a coated elastic band.
