Step 1: Start with dry hair that has smooth roots with curly ends.

Step 2: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth your hair as you direct it back into a high ponytail. Secure into place with a coated elastic band.

Step 3: Take a two-inch section of hair from the ponytail and roll it under, starting at the ends. Pin the section into the base of the ponytail. Continue with all sections until you form a crown of barrel curls all the way around the base of the ponytail. Take a 1-inch section of hair and wrap it around the base of the crown. Spritz with hairspray to lock in your look.
