Step 1: Start with dry, loosely wavy hair.
Step 2: Take a two-inch section of hair on top and hold it straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections on top of your head.
Step 3: Create a diagonal part and smooth your bangs over to one side, flat against your forehead. Gather your length low and to one side and secure into place with a coated elastic band.
