Step 1: Start with smooth, dry hair. Isolate a halo section on top of your head.

Step 2: Take a two-inch piece and hold it straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections within the halo.

Step 3: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth the surface of the halo section as you direct it back. Roll your hair vertically until it snugs up against the back of your head. Pin securely in place and then mist with hairspray to finish.
