Step 1: Start with smooth, dry hair.

Step 2: Take a two-inch section on top and hold it straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections on top of your head.

Step 3: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth the hair on the surface of the teased section as you direct it back. Gather all hair in back and twist until it buckles upon itself to form a bun. Tuck the ends in and pin the bun securely into place.
