Alexis Bledel amps up the texture to make her simple ponytail look stunning.

Step 1: Start with dry, slightly curly hair that is smooth on top. Leaving your side-swept bangs out in front, gather your length in back and secure it into a ponytail with a coated elastic band.
Step 2: Cover the band by winding it with a half-inch section of hair and tucking the ends into the band.
Step 3: Use a dab of pomade on your fingers to pinch the ends of your bangs and create a piece-y texture. Finish off with a light mist of hairspray for all-day hold.
