Step 1: Start with smooth, dry hair. Isolate a halo section on top of your head.
Step 2: Take a two-inch section within the halo and hold it straight up. Use a tight-tooth comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections within the halo.
Step 3: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth the surface of the halo section as you direct it back and pin it into place. Sweep the rest of your hair back and secure into a tight ponytail using a coated elastic band.
