Debra Messing perfects a classic evening updo with mega-shiny strands and smooth roots that burst into a crown of curls on top.

Start with dry hair that is smooth on top with curly length. Neatly brush all of your hair back into a high ponytail and secure into place with a coated elastic band. Brush through two-inch sections so the curly part at the ends can be rolled under and pinned into the base of the ponytail. Continue with all sections until you form a crown of curls on top. Mist with shine spray for added luster and hairspray for hold.
