Smooth, side-parted roots add contrast to Emily Deschanel's soft, wavy length.
Step 1: Distribute a dollop of mousse onto damp hair and blow dry two-inch sections at a time using a large round brush to lift slightly at the root for volume.
Step 2: Spritz a two-inch section with styling spray. Starting several inches away from your scalp, wrap the section tightly around a large curling iron. Hold in place for a few seconds to set the curl, release and repeat while alternating the curl direction until all hair is done.
Step 3: Run your fingers through your hair to break up sections. Spritz with hairspray to hold.
