Kérastase hairstylist Ashley Javier fashioned a futuristic flattop hairstyle at the Behnaz Sarafpour Fall 2009 fashion show.

“We wanted to create this square flattop shape – kind of a Forties “Bladerunner,” says Javier. To create, place hair in rollers and spray with hairspray to set. Release hair, then tease the front and side sections to create volume. Pin sections in place, sculpting the desired height and shape with hands and leaving the back of hair loose. Gather loose hair and pin into a flat French twist at the back of the head.
