Step 1: Apply a pea-size amount of styling lotion onto your damp strands. Use just your fingers to move your hair around while blowing it dry.
Step 2: When dry, rub tacky styling cream on your hands and then run your fingers through your hair while pulling up on random sections on top.
Step 3: Twist very small and random sections to create a slightly-spiked texture.
