Step 1: Start with smooth, dry hair with slightly wavy ends. Isolate a halo section on top of head.
Step 2: Take a two-inch section within the halo and hold it straight up. Use a tight-tooth comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections within the halo.
Step 3: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth over the surface of the halo section as you direct it back. Leave a few pieces out in front and place length into a ponytail. Secure with a coated elastic band.
