Step 1: Start with slightly curly or wavy hair. Separate your bangs from the rest of your hair with a part and then sweep them to one side.
Step 2: Take a two-inch section of hair on top and hold straight up. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections on top of your head.
Step 3: Smooth the surface of halo section as you direct it back. Allow the top to buckle slightly and then use several bobby pins to secure in back.
