Step 1: Mist damp hair with texturizing spray and then blow dry haphazardly while shaking out your hair with your fingers. Run a flat iron over one-inch sections to add control.
Step 2: Take a two-inch section on top and hold it straight up. Use a tight-tooth comb to backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section down toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections on top of your head.
Step 3: Using your fingers, smooth the teased section as you direct it back. Allow the hair on top to buckle and pin the section into place.
