Step 1: With dry, side-parted hair, take a three-inch section at the part starting one inch back from hairline. Split section in half.
Step 2: From the outside of the left section, take a one-inch section of hair, cross it over the top of the left section and add it to the section on the right side.
Step 3: From the outside of the right section, take a one-inch section, cross it over the top of the right section and add it to the section on the left side. Repeat until you run out of hair. Pin the ends in.
