To dress up her short hair, Stana Katic adds a bold braid in front and twisted sections on the sides.

Start with smooth, dry hair. Take a three-inch section from in front and create a classic three-strand braid. Tuck any short layers into the braid to help the hairstyle blend. Pin the end of the braid back. Through the rest of the hair, take random two-inch sections on the sides, twist each several times and pin them back. Mist well with finishing spray for soft hold.
