Power Makeup!

This spring, what would you say if you could empower yourself with makeup that makes you feel like a superhero? I’d say bring it on! MAC’s fun new line brings girl power to a whole other level with their new spokesperson, Wonder Woman. Yes, you heard me right, and what a better iconic beauty to put the pow, bang and kaboom back into your daily beauty routine?

I have come up with two super spring looks from this collection–one perfect for evening and one appropriate for daytime. The first is pairing spring’s bold lip with lush lashes when you’re really feeling your Wonder Woman super power. Apply foundation, concealer and powder, then fill in brows to create a strong frame for the eyes. Lightly highlight under the brows, on the inside inner corners of the eyes and on top of the cheekbones with the shimmering highlight hue Manilla Paper from the Valiant Palette.

Next coat the top and bottom lashes with Bad Bad Black Opulash Mascara for flirty fringe. Sweep a light dusting of Mighty Aphrodite Blush on the apples of the cheeks and finish with a slick of Wonder Woman Lipglass. Now grab your Lasso of Truth and hit the town.

The second look channels Wonder Woman’s secret identity Diana Prince with a romantic spring floral look. Apply foundation, concealer and powder to create a flawless canvas. Then, grab the Defiance Palette, wet and angle brush and dip it into the Real Drama shade and sweep across the upper lash line. Lighty dust this same hue across the lid, sweep the Star Studded hue in the crease and the Defiance hue on the brow bone, on the inner corners of the eyes.

Using a dry angle brush, smudge a little of the Real Drama hue under the lower lashes and apply mascara on top and bottom fringe. Swirl Wonder Woman Mineralize Skinfinish in Pink Power on the cheeks and a slick of Emacipation Lipglass on your lips, then put on your gold Gauntlet Bracelets for deflecting bullets at the office, and you’re ready to go!
