The designer has been a big fan of the Twilight actress for some time and considered her perfect as the face of the fragrance thanks to her “Lolita” qualities.
He said, “I’ve been a big fan of Dakota since the first time I saw her in a movie. When we were speaking about who to use in the Oh, Lola fragrance ads–I had recently seen The Runaways. I knew she could be this contemporary Lolita, seductive yet sweet.”
Dakota, 17, is an admirer of Marc’s scents and was “humbled” to be invited to appear in the new campaign.
She explained to WWD, “Every time one of Marc’s fragrances comes out I run to the store to buy it. The moment I was asked to be a part of the Oh, Lola campaign, I was said yes immediately.”
Dakota is not the only actress to join forces with Marc Jacobs; Helena Bonham Carter has become the latest face of the line, following in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham.
