For those mornings you can’t bear to pick up a straightener, try one of these simple plaits we spotted on the spring runways. Even if you’re not a braid ninja, you’ll be able to construct these looks in five minutes flat.
The Ponytail Braid
Update a messy ponytail with a quick plait, like this one shown at Balmain. Make sure to pull hair together at the nape of the neck (not any higher) to look more chic than cheerleader.

The Disheveled Headband Braid
The headband braid isn’t going anywhere this season. Make like models at Holly Fulton and add interest to the look with texturizing spray and side-parted hair styled into faux bangs.

The Accessory Braid
Skip the earrings with this look. The models at Nicole Miller had tight plaits just above the ear on each side. After braiding, create a center part and pull strands back with bobby pins.

The Add-On Braid
Copy the style at Matthew Williamson by braiding a small section of hair at your part and pulling back loosely into a bun for a fun side-angle view.

The Subtle Boho Braid
Add a peek-a-boo braid to wavy strands, like at Tess Giberson, for a cool-girl look that goes anywhere.
