Beauty girls everywhere have been in for quite a surprise this Olympics season. The sports showcase has also been a display of fun, creative beauty looks. The Olympics truly have been the perfect blend of the two things I love most – beauty and fitness.

While the gymnasts’ glitter hair spray and scrunchies have been too outlandish for me, the nail art has been a little more subtle and suitable for everyday wear. Here’s how to get one of the simpler looks, sported by French shooter Delphine Reau. Trust me, I am the least nail art-savvy girl, and even I can get this look down!

Step 1: Start with a base polish, such as Essie Feed Me Hydrating Treatment Base Coat ($8, Essie.com).

Step 2: Using FingerPaints Striping Polish ($3.49, SallyBeauty.com), paint the thin lines on the tips of the nail. Make sure to paint on a diagonal.

Step 3: Let the design dry for two minutes, and then finish with a clear top coat, such as OPI Nicole by OPI Top Coat Plus ($6.99, Drugstore.com).

Is this not just the simplest nail art how-to ever?
