From the BBQs in the park to the outdoor weddings and days spent laying out on the sand, it’s been a sun-filled summer. And while we may be disappointed to admit that it’s coming to an end, our hair and skin are happy to be finally off the hook. Here are some quick fixes to get you back on track for fall — complete with silky smooth hair and bright, glowing skin.

Fix Dry Hair and Faded Color
With the sun, chlorine and salt water all getting some quality time with our hair, it’s no surprise our locks are dry and brittle. Use Original Mineral Detox Shampoo and Conditioner ($30.95, originalmineral.com) for a mini cleanse. With Australian river mint and peppermint oil, the formula moisturizes and cleanses without stripping hair’s natural oils. For a fast fix, use ColorProof CrazySmooth Anti-Frizz Treatment Masque ($39.99, colorproof.com). Not only does the leave-in conditioner moisturize and defrizz, but it protects color from fading.

Erase Sun Spots, Freckles and Unwanted Redness
No matter how many times we applied SPF throughout the day, we’ve got some unwanted color and spots — but skin tone correcting serums and brightening creams can help. Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum ($60, sephora.com) lightens spots with peptides while the glycolic acid exfoliates skin to encourage the ingredients to penetrate the skin faster and more easily. As for brightening, try Clayspray Brightening White Clay with Ginseng Masque ($59.95, beautyhabit.com). The mask applies like any other clay — thick and creamy — but because it’s in a spray bottle, you have more control over application. And it doesn’t feel so caked on either! In minutes, skin is dewy and clearer.

Clear Up Body Acne
Hopefully the humid, sticky weather is at an end. The constant sweating these past few months has caused below the neck breakout and body acne. The best trick to fighting off acne on the shoulders and back is an acne-fighting body wash such as Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash ($6.49, neutrogena.com). The salicylic acid gently removes blemishes without over drying or irritating skin. Exfoliation is also key. Skip product and use the Eight Skincare Dry Skin Brush ($20, eightskincare.com). By brushing over the skin, it removes the top layer of dead skin cells and softens the skin’s surface.
