  First, apply a dime-size amount of Farouk Royal Treatment Pearl Complex ($27.99, haircarechoices.com) midway down the hair to the ends. Section your hair into three sections from the top of your head to behind your ears on both sides, leaving the back section loose.

  Gather the hair in the back and create a ponytail slightly off center.

  Starting at the end of the hair, roll the top half of the ponytail into a “pin curl.” Secure with bobbi pins on both sides.

  Repeat step 4 with bottom half of ponytail, rolling under instead of up to create the lower bun.

  Smooth the left side section with your fingertips. Pull back and lace around the secured section of the buns and pin underneath.

  Gently smooth the right section with your fingertips, pull back and twist. Lace around the two secured sections and pin underneath.
